We need public servants in your community to serve as Registrar of Voters

Registrars of Voters are the [on-the-ground guardians] of our most sacred right as citizens – -the right to vote and have our votes counted accurately.

Every city and town in Connecticut has part-time paid Registrars of Voters. Registrars of Voters are responsible for:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date lists of registered voters
Running all elections and referenda in their city or town including appointing individuals to serve as poll workers and volunteer Election Officials
Counting all lawful votes including absentee votes
Reporting election results
Conducting post-election recounts and audits
Performing related duties such as conducting voter registration sessions and ensuring the integrity of voting machines when not in use
By law, the Democrats and Republicans will each automatically win a Registrar position. If a Griebel-Frank candidate comes in first or second, there can be a third Registrar of Voters – the Griebel-Frank candidate.

Griebel-Frank For CT, part of the SAM (Serve America Movement) Alliance, is looking for people in your community to help serve in this important role. If you would consider serving your community by running for this office, let’s talk. I can be reached by replying to this email or by emailing at murgo@joinsamct.org. Please also feel free to forward this email to anyone that you think may share an interest in political reforms and would consider running for Registrar of Voters. A complete list of cities and towns where these offices are up for election is listed at the bottom of this email. We can provide more information and help for anyone who is interested.
